My name is Jen Lovering and I am an Assistant Headteacher at Crownbridge School.
I  am the leader at our satellite provision at Penygarn Community Primary School and oversee Classes 1 and 2. I am also the Class 1 teacher. Having two classes at Penygarn is a wonderful opportunity to provide inclusion into a mainstream setting for our primary aged pupils. The two schools focus on pupil centred learning and create inclusion opportunities based on the needs of individuals. We develop a sense of belonging; working together and learning from one another.

I have over 20 years’ experience as a teacher. This has been within mainstream, but predominantly in settings for children with additional learning needs (ALN). I am passionate about enabling all learners with ALN to meet their full potential through challenging and exciting learning opportunities. Each child at Crownbridge learns differently, so we are innovative and creative with our pedagogical approaches, having lots of fun along the way!

I endeavour to foster excellent working relationships with staff, parents and all professionals, in order to provide the best support for the children in our care and for them to develop lifelong skills. I believe that staff and pupils are always learning and fully support Professional Learning and collaboration. Each day is an opportunity to try something new!
